A new MSC series of low profile choke cores for small inductors is an ideal choice for mobie devices, miniature DC/DC converters, cell phones, laptops, adapters, car electronics and so on.

MSC series toroidal cores are made of thin (25 microns) Fe-based amorphous ribbon and due to their high saturation induction (1.5 T) have a higher inductance rate and the opportunity to operate with a high bias current. Distributed gap, obtained through a special thermomagnetic treatment regime, helps to reduce losses and cost, and to increase technological effectiveness.

Chokes, based on MSCcores series have smaller number of winding turnsand respectively,lower wire loss and better opportunities in DC bias as compared to conventional soft magnetic materials: ferrites, magnetodielectrics andpermalloys.

CONFIGURATION:

Ribbon wound magnetic core is placed into hard protective container of aluminum alloy and mechanically fixed with silicone sealant.The container has rounded edges and is designed for direct winding of a thick wire. The container provides reliable mechanical protection and preservation of amorphous material's properties. All materials comply with UL94V-1 / 0.
